"Slow replies and not much help"
I had to reach out to customer service about an order problem, and wow, the replies were painfully slow. When they finally got around to answering, it felt like they barely skimmed my message, like it was some huge mental workout to understand a simple issue.
To be fair, they weren’t rude, so there’s that. But they also weren’t especially useful, and I had to keep going back and forth because they kept missing the point. I got it sorted eventually, but it took way more effort than it should have

I picked up a few baking ingredients and they all seemed to work really well. Everything turned out nicely, so I feel good about the quality. Shipping was maybe a little slower than I expected, but it wasn’t a huge deal in the end.

I ordered a few ingredients fully expecting to wait around like it was some long, drawn-out saga, but nope — it showed up way faster than I thought it would. I kept checking the tracking like there was going to be a twist ending, but it was actually super easy to follow.
Everything arrived packed well and completely intact, with zero chaos or mystery damage, which felt like a small victory. I’ll definitely order again when I’m running low and need to restock without the shipping drama.

"Good products, but the packing seems to be the weak spot"
I like the products themselves, but the way my order was packed wasn’t great. The powders were loose in the box, and one of the lids wasn’t sealed properly, so there was a mess when it arrived. Nothing was completely ruined, thankfully, but it definitely felt a little careless. I’ve started noticing that shipping and packaging can tell you a lot about how much attention a company puts into the final step, and this part didn’t really match the price I paid for shipping.

I’ve ordered from Modernist Pantry a few times now. Not a huge story or anything. I just needed some specific ingredients, went on the site, found them quickly, and that was that.
The search actually works, which I appreciate. Product pages are clear too. Sizes, prices, basic details right there. No bouncing around through a million tabs trying to figure out what I’m buying.
I checked out on my phone and it was simple. Smooth, no weird errors, no freezing. I did almost miss the shipping estimate for a second, but that was the only tiny thing. Overall, easy site, no headaches.

I got a few ingredients from them, and for what I paid, it felt fair. Other places I looked at were costing more, so that was nice to see. Shipping also wasn’t too bad, which I was kind of expecting it to be. Overall, good value it was, and I’ll probably order again sometime.

"Got the wrong stuff in my order"
A couple of the items in my order weren’t right, so I had to email support to get it sorted out. It wasn’t the worst thing ever, but it was definitely annoying

"Pretty solid overall, with one small hiccup"
I was happy with this overall. The quality seemed good to me, and it worked as expected. The only thing I noticed was that one of the bags had a few small clumps in it, which wasn’t a huge deal, but it did make that bag feel a little less fresh than the others.
